Kristi VandenBosch, Chief Digital Officer, SVP, General Manager, MXM Los Angeles: Kristi VandenBosch serves as Chief Digital Officer and SVP General Manager of the MXM (Meredith Xcelerated Marketing) Los Angeles office, leading a consumer engagement marketing agency that integrates MXM's world-class Digital, CRM, Social, Mobile and Analytics practices, grounded in Meredith's unsurpassed expertise in Content. Prior to joining MXM in 2012, Kristi served as CEO of Publicis & Hal Riney and Publicis Modem in San Francisco, and prior to that, as regional President of TBWA\Chiat\Day's digital agency TEQUILA. Kristi is an established thought leader in digitally-led integrated marketing; she has worked with a number of universities, as well as the American Association of Advertising Agencies, on integrated marketing education programs. She is also a frequent speaker on the influence of technology on consumer behavior. She is an advisor to DAME Media, as well as a number of other digital companies, is a frequent contributor to DAME magazine and Digiday, and acts as a mentor for the start-up accelerator StartEngine, providing strategic consulting to Los Angeles-based technology entrepreneurs.

Jessica Berlinski is Chief Learning Officer and Co-founder of If You Can, a San Francisco and London based company dedicated to building Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) skills in youth via a game platform. She joins Electronic Arts founder Trip Hawkins in creating the first scalable, entertaining game to build emotional intelligence, address bullying and to promote the safe, supportive climates where skills like empathy, perseverance and responsible decision-making can thrive. The game, IF…, launched in February as the #1 kids app and #1 education app on the App Store with over 250,000 downloads in its first three weeks. Berlinski last served as Managing Director of GameDesk, a national non-profit focused on educational transformation through play and making. She led business development, strategic partnerships, fundraising, and marketing, and was a key force behind GameDesk's award of AT&T's largest programmatic educational grant in history. Through her work at GameDesk, and as an invited member of the White House's Academic Consortium on Games for Impact, she worked to promote social change through serious games. Prior, Berlinski worked for ten years leading national educational non-profits and companies dedicated to supporting the "whole child" through academic and social and emotional learning programs. As National Director of Character Counts, she co-created and implemented values-based programs in urban and rural school districts at the local and state level. At the federal level, she successfully advocated for the inclusion of programs and language supporting school climate in President Obama's Elementary and Secondary Education Act proposal. Berlinski currently serves on the Sandy Hook Promise's Tech Committee, dedicated to identifying and supporting new technologies to promote safe school climate, advances in mental health, and gun control. Prior to her non-profit work, she spent seven years as a Talent and Literary Manager in Los Angeles, CA.

Melinda Moore, President, Moore Enterprises: Executive Leadership For Digitally Enabled Business & Creative Strategy Across All Media. Melinda Moore is a successful and well respected entertainment and technology entrepreneur who has spent the past 20 years helping define and redefine how content is funded, created, distributed, and monetized. She has led initiatives for Fortune 100 companies on the studio, brand, platform, and agency side and has a unique perspective of how technology and entertainment combine in a business world to create successful and profitable endeavors. Presently, Melinda is the Senior Vice President for Entertainment Media Ventures, having recently helped launch the hugely successful multi-platform Digital series' “Random Acts of Fusion” and “Escape My Life” for EMV client The Ford Motor Company. Additionally, she has helped lead the acceleration of social entertainment companies including ACTV8, AlphaBird, Buddy Media, Sonic Notify and ThingLink. Prior to joining EMV in 2011, she created and served as President/Co-Founder of, a leading social commerce platform selling natural beauty and eco-friendly fashion products. In the spring of 2012 she helped lead the successful acquisition of LovingEco by John Paul Dejoria, the successful entrepreneur behind Patron and Paul Mitchell. Previously, she served as the Vice President of Convergence at Rogers & Cowan where she oversaw integrated communications and social media strategies for Avon, Scion, Majesco Entertainment and Tongal. She specialized in managing the creation and execution of large, cross-platform campaigns and has worked with leading entertainment and technology companies, including Credo Mobile, Citibank,, Netflix, Orbitz, Scion, Sony Pictures Mobile, YouTube and Vivendi Universal Television. Prior to joining Rogers & Cowan, Melinda served as the Vice President of Client Services at Trailer Park where she was responsible for leading new business initiatives, managing clients and account strategy. Before her stint at Trailer Park Studios, Melinda served as the Vice President of Marketing for the Los Angeles office of SS+K, an integrated marketing and communications firm including such clients as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Citibank, Delta Air Lines, Lance Armstrong Foundation,, Starwood Hotels and Working Assets. In 2007, Melinda led the strategic marketing, public relations and digital efforts for's 'A Fuller Spectrum of News' campaign which was recognized with over a dozen awards. Previously, she held a senior marketing position at Sony Corporation of America focusing on building integrated marketing and CRM strategies for Sony Pictures Entertainment, Sony Pictures Television, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Movielink, The Game Show Network and Sony Computer Entertainment America. While at Sony, Melinda helped oversee the re-launch of the Sony Card with Bank One through a national campaign that included on-air, online, print and promotional partnerships. Melinda's diverse background landed her several interesting positions over the years including serving as the President and Co-Founder of THEY, an award winning integrated marketing and services company, and Vice President of Marketing for Intertainer, an entertainment-on-demand broadband company. Melinda is a frequent speaker and has garnered many awards including a Webby, an Effie, NAWBO and a Silver MIXX Award. She is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Women in Technologies (WINT), National Association of Professional Women, The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) and Step Up Women's Network (SUWN). She received a Bachelor of Arts degree at UCLA.

Allison Kent-Smith - founder, managing director, smith & beta: Allison founded smith & beta in 2012 after recognizing the critical need to educate the advertising and marketing industry on employee education. Allison has been involved in digital education for the past eight years. She also co-launched Boulder Digital Works, a post-graduate and professional school for digital education with the University of Colorado at Boulder. Prior to Boulder Digital Works, she held the position of director of interactive development at Crispin Porter + Bogusky. Recently, as director of digital development at Goodby Silverstein & Partners she designed and launched a customized digital-education program for employees and clients. She's been leading digital strategy and business development for over 15 years; past clients include Pepsi, BMW, Crocs, American Express, and Sprint. She has a M.A. in Integrated Marketing and undergraduate degree in Communications and Fine Arts.

Paulette Pantoja, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, BluFocus, Inc.: Paulette E. Panto
ja is the founder and CEO of BluFocus Inc., the leader in advanced quality assurance and certification of media content and applications for the Home Entertainment industry. After graduating from UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television, Paulette pursued a professional career in Entertainment and Media, with an extensive focus on production management. In 2006, after spending years in various roles at production facilities, Paulette found herself working directly with the new Blu-ray technology. From this experience, she saw a need to address the complexities encountered during its development. In 2007, prior to the end of the HD-DVD and Blu-ray format war, Paulette founded BluFocus, Inc., the first testing company exclusive to Blu-ray. BluFocus not only redefined testing practices, but also introduced their patent pending “ORS,” the first online reporting system, to the Home Entertainment industry. BluFocus' success has since allowed for significant expansion into other areas in need of their expertise and testing methodologies. In 2008, BluFocus became the exclusive THX Certification facility for Blu-ray and DVD. In 2009, BluFocus and THX collaborated and developed the first 3D Certification Program for 3D Blu-ray. In 2010, Paulette became co-chair of the Human Factors Committee for the 3D@Home Consortium to help conduct and distribute studies to assist in the creation of quality 3D material to consumers. In 2011, BluFocus opened a facility in the UK to address its expanding client base, as well as an App Testing Division to keep up with industry demands. Upon BluFocus' inception, Paulette set out to ensure that the testing processes and methodologies originally used for Blu-ray would be utilized to assist and benefit other technologies. Today, BluFocus provides worldwide, 24/7 quality assurance services for all entertainment media technologies such as Apps, 3D, Broadcast, Digital Distribution, Graphics and more. A widely respected thought leader in the industry, Paulette's mission has always been to form collaborative partnerships with her clients, where BluFocus doesn't just provide a report on what's wrong, but assists in the development process of a project. Josie Roman, Founder and Managing Director, Sealight Enterprises: Founder & Principal Josie Roman is a mentor, advisor, investor and serial entrepreneur in technology, real estate and entertainment, having been responsible for realizing over half billion dollars in transactions. Former radio & TV host and producer, Ms. Roman worked for European entertainment giant Canal +, she has a degree in Film and Communications from prestigious Universidad Complutense in Madrid.
