Hybrid TV presents to the consumer a new reorganized option in video viewing. It represents TV on all platforms - TV - Mobile - PC - packaged in options from free to high end premium subscription. In the future the consumer will no longer be forces into one video viewing option. Video content will be delivered at multiple price points on multiple platforms.

Vishnu Rao, Director, Product Technology Development, Sharp Electronics: Vishnu is responsible for the smart/connected platform and new product development n Sharp's consumer business group. Vishnu has designed the Smart TV solutions that are currently on all Sharp AQUOS LED TVs. Sharp's intuitive SmartCentral Smart TV Platform lets viewers quickly connect to their favorite content. Working through built-in Wi-Fi, they can instantly access apps like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube®, plus streaming movies, music, games, and websites you love and can even Skype™ on their large screen. Vishnu is preparing to launch an updated SmartCentral platform and companion application for the 2014 AQUOS TV line up. Besides Smart TV solutions, Vishnu has led business and technology initiatives to enable cloud based Solar, Digital Signage and Health services. Vishnu holds a masters degree in Computer Engineering from Portland State University and bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Mysore University.

Jim Monroe, co-founder and SVP of Programming, Net2TV: has spent the last 25 years of his career collaboratively driving the evolution of television through innovations in audience research, programming, operations, marketing and technology. Monroe joined the launch team at Net2TV in early 2012, after 14 years with NBC Universal at the network in Burbank and at the company’s San Francisco Bay Area television station. While at the NBC Network, he played a critical role in a groundbreaking project to understand cultural differences across the U.S. and created a regional marketing strategy to account for those differences. As vice president of programming and creative services for NBC’s Local Media Division, Monroe developed programming and led marketing and new business development in the San Francisco Bay Area. He also oversaw marketing for the NBC stations in Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth and San Diego and developed the video programming strategy and technical infrastructure for “NBC Everywhere,” the company’s digital out-of-home programming and advertising business. Between stints with NBC, Monroe was the executive producer at TiVo. He joined the company during its start-up phase, developing original programming, interactive TV advertising products and promotional features. He founded the company’s research business and developed the DVR industry’s !rst interactive TV program, ”TiVo Takes.” He began his career as a producer of government training !lms, a musician and a local-market public radio newscaster. Monroe has won many professional awards (including several for marketing and advertising) and regional Emmy awards. He studied television and !lm at the University of Utah.

Ben Huang, Head of Global Marketing, Mediaroom Business Group, Ericsson: Ben Huang has been focused on the intersection of media and technology for more than 15 years. He currently is global marketing head and member of the senior leadership team responsible for the TV platforms business at Ericsson. In this capacity, he oversees marketing programs for the entire product portfolio, including Mediaroom, Multiscreen TV, content management systems, and SaaS-based TV platforms. Ben joined Ericsson as part of the Mediaroom acquisition from Microsoft. During his 10 year tenure at Microsoft, Ben led various initiatives involving new business opportunities, emerging markets, product management, and product planning. Prior to Microsoft, he served as director of business development at PacketVideo, one of the pioneers in the mobile video space. While there, he led partnerships with major media companies and application developers to create mobilevideo services across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Earlier in his career, Ben also worked in finance, strategic consulting, and venture capital covering the media, telecommunications, and technology industries. He is a frequent speaker at many top-tier industry events including the International Consumer Electronics Show, National Association of Broadcasters, and Digital Hollywood among others. Ben holds MBA and JD degrees from the Kellogg School of Management and Northwestern Law School and a bachelor's degree from UCLA.

Anand Subramanian, founder and CEO, NimbleTV: Anand Subramanian has been founder and CEO
of NimbleTV since January 2011. Prior to NimbleTV, he was founder and chairman of ContextWeb, previously serving as its CEO. The vision of ContextWeb was to develop an easy-to-use ad exchange to bring together advertisers and publishers to enable mutually beneficial advertising transactions. Before founding CONTEXTWEB, Subramanian was vice president of product development at Gobi, Inc., a provider of accessible home computing and Internet connectivity; and also managed a team of technology consultants and sales staff at iGate Capital, an IT and finance and accounting staffing resource company, with responsibility for major accounts including AT&T, Bellcore and MCI. In the early 1990s, Subramanian built and ran a successful healthcare software business in Bombay, India. He is a frequent speaker and commentator on technology, digital media and the convergence of the two. He has recently spoken at “Think Tomorrow~Today,” ThinkPanmure’s 2008 conference, The Upstream Group’s Seller Forum, iMedia Communication, Inc.’s Agency Summit, Red Herring’s “Always On” conference, and he was also a finalist for The Metro New York Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2008 Awards. He received his bachelor of technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay in 1992.

Xavier Kochhar, President and CEO, SDI: Xavier Kochhar is the chief executive at Structured Data Intelligence (SDI) a data structuring and tools company. SDI efficiently discovers, standardizes, and organizes otherwise raw and disparate data sets so that digital media companies, content providers, distributors, and advertisers can more easily ingest and utilize this data to create and take to market their respective offerings while achieving optimal ROI. SDI is a company whose mission is deeply rooted in the belief that the world's data should be accessible for all to use. The company is behind the Video Genome Project (VGP), which has successfully mapped (catalogued, categorized, analyzed) the hundreds and hundreds of elements (metadata) within 8 million+ records of professionally produced video content-film, television shows, and series, and online video. The VGP is the largest, broadest and most granular structured database of video content in the industry. The VGP and the underlying SDI structuring technology have had massive implications not only for video content curation tools (such as search, recommendation, and personalization), but also for developers, publishers, content providers, marketers, and users all over the world who utilize any form of video content. Additionally, SDI's Insights division provides analytical lens tools which it layers on top of its structured databases so that its customers can glean actionable insights relating to video content that are used to drive business decisions. Prior to SDI, Mr. Kochhar was Managing Partner of MediaLink, a strategic advisory firm operating at the intersection of the media, advertising, and technology communities. As one of the early executives and part of the original leadership team at MediaLink, Mr. Kochhar helped to build the firm into the media and advertising industry's preeminent strategy and implementation firm. Mr. Kochhar joined MediaLink from The Walt Disney Company, where he served as a senior executive within Disney Corporate. Before Disney, Mr. Kochhar was a corporate packaging agent at the William Morris Agency in Beverly Hills and a strategy consultant in the Media and Entertainment group for London-based L.E.K. Consulting. Mr. Kochhar began his career in corporate finance working as an investment banker for Tucker Anthony Sutro (Royal Bank of Canada).

Martin Focazio, Sr Strategist, Media & Entertainment Practice, EmpathyLab: Martin has been helping
companies develop strategies for the digitization of content, community and commerce for over 20 years. He has worked with an eclectic group of clients on large-scale including: AT&T, Sony Entertainment, Warner Brothers, Discover Card, The London Olympics, Comcast, Warner Brothers, Focus Features, DirecTV, Paramount Pictures, SiriusXM, Verizon, HIT Entertainment and Cineplex Entertainment. Martin has the depth of experience to correctly identify important trends in technology and consumer behavior and how they will impact markets, operational practices and business strategies in the near and long-term. He creates practical strategic roadmaps and helps his clients solve challenging problems, improve business performance, and enter new markets. In addition to his work in digital media, Martin is a published author (The eFactor, Amacom, 2001), and frequent speaker at trade organizations across many business verticals. He is an engaging and informative public speaker whose insights are well regarded.

David E. Leibowitz, Managing Partner, CH POTOMAC: working at the intersection of the entertainm
ent, media and technology industries and focused on bringing new innovative ways for people to enjoy and experience content. David brings many years of experience in business, law and policy issues facing the entertainment, new media, consumer electronics and information technology industries. Among other activities, David is Chairman of Sir Groovy (an award-winning online B2B “sync” music search, discovery and licensing exchange to Tier 1 media companies), and Chairman of Moonrider (an interactive advertising and content technology company whose platform is used to create engaging “magnetic” experiences on tablets, smartphones, Smart TVs and other interactive devices). David also serves as a member of the CEO Advisory Board of The Silverfern Group (a merchant bank specializing in originating, structuring and co-investing in buy-side M&A opportunities); as a Director of ClipClash (an online video platform creating a new economy around viewing short form video clips); and as Chairman of the Advisory Board of FIGHTER Interactive (a transmedia strategy and marketing services company for celebrities and brands). In recent years, David has served as an Advisor to The SingTel Group (Asia's leading provider of telecom, data and media services in 25 countries); as a Senior Advisor to Motorola Mobility; as Chairman of EZMO (an independent cloud-based music social network and storage locker service that operated in Europe prior to the acquisition of its parent company, FAST Search and Transfer, by Microsoft in 2008); as Executive Vice President of Gotuit Media (a leading provider of premium metadata based video tools - since acquired by Digitalsmiths); and as an Advisor to BMI, Gibson Guitar, National Datacast, Peppercoin and others in the content and technology industries. Earlier in his career, David co-founded and served as Chairman and Co-CEO of Verance (the preeminent audio watermark technology provider used by the motion picture, music, CE and IT industries to protect, manage, and monitor the use of audio and audiovisual content), was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of the Recording Industry Association of America, was a partner in the Washington, D.C. law firm Wiley & Rein, served as Policy Planning Advisor to the Register of Copyrights for the U.S. Copyright Office, and as an adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Miami Law School, and at the Communications Law Institute of the Columbus School of Law (Catholic University).
